Ordered the Lunch Kung Pao chicken for delivery. Because my total was under the $20 for free delivery, I expected to pay a fee for delivery. He said that he had never done this before, and would $3-4 be okay? I can't believe they don't have a set price for delivery fees. 45 minutes later, my order (which remember, was a small order) still hadn't arrived. I am about 3 minutes away from the restaurant. So I called up and the woman who answered the phone said the driver had just left. Apparently 45 minutes for Kung Pao chicken is normal. *eyeroll* The driver shows up a couple minutes later, and the food is piping hot. The chicken is barely chicken - it's all breading and fried stuff. The rice is dull, and the soup is nothing special. I can't say that this restaurant has earned the praise that people seem to be heaping upon it. I would not order from here again - too long for delivery, the staff aren't capable of communicating, and the food is only so-so.

First found this restaurant when looking at pre-k schools. Daughter loved their soups. Service is lacking due to only one server each shift for the restaurant, but the staff seemed friendly. This past experience left much to be desired. A friend order a dish that said fried shrimp chow mein after confirming with the server. When she received it, it was stir fried shrimp and veggies with fried won ton strips on the top. Deciding that she didn't want she told the waitress that's not what she thought it would be, the waitress tried to change her mind. After a minute of back and forth, the dish was returned to the kitchen with a promise of what she ordered. Due to where we were sitting, we could clearly hear the cook raising her voice about the situation and complaining. We heard pots and pans being slammed against each other. We will not be returning.

Food was great and so was the service! I ordered the house special Mei Fun and everything was fresh and full of flavor. I live in Nebraska and we were just passing through, but if I'm ever back in the area I will visit again!

Their prices suggest the service is good. It's not. Waiting customers tell other customers to wait. Practically no one dines in; it would raise the tip dilemma. When you--finally--get your food, it may be quite good. Or you may find, as one customer recently did, that you ordered shrimp, were told not enough shrimp, may we fill out with beef, paid for shrimp but zero shrimp in order.

Meh, this is just like any cheap Chinese food. Not particularly well-seasoned, sloppy presentation, and mediocre customer service. I tries the place a few times, but I can't even remember what I ate--that's how mundane it is. Just drive to Unitah to Coal Mine and get some good Chinese food for a good price.

Ordered sesame chicken lunch special to go. $8 and the food was plentiful. Hot and sour soup was excellent. Crab ragoon and egg roll were good. Friendly and very fast. I will return to try other dishes.

This place was great! We were visiting and my aunt who is a regular at this place took us here and the food really was wonderful! My aunt absolutely loves this place especially the spicy mustard they bring out with the egg rolls! I had the chicken chow main and loved it! The amount of food they bring out it enormouse and one dish could easily be shared but we all had our own and had some to take home.

If you want a good Chinese restaraunt, the bamboo court is a good choice. The food above average, while not overwhelmingly great, it is a decent choice for a place at a decent price.

Very good lunch specials. Loved the scallop in garlic sauce, which had a lot of scallops. My 5 yo son loved the egg drop soup. Nice atmosphere.

Ordered delivery at 5:16 PM and was told 45 minutes. At 5:30 they had already charged my card. Called at 6:30 and was told they were still making my order. Called again at 7:15 and was told the driver is on his way (they only had 1) and was offered free food for 'next time'. I told the lady I was starving and would die if I didn't get my food within the next 5 minutes. Got food at 7:30. Destroyed $55 worth of Chinese food between two people while in the middle of a sports overdose. Food was actually good, but make sure they have more than 1 driver.

First of all let me start by saying that anyone who does not think that Bamboo Court has the best hot and sour soup in COLORADO let alone NORTH AMERICA is out of their damn mind. Seriously this stuff is AMAZING. When my Grandmother had cancer she completely lost her appetite and the Hot and Sour soup from Bamboo Court was the only thing besides ice cream that we could get her to eat. Its that good! I will go out of my way to eat here for their soup. On another note...the service is fast and friendly. The food is good and well priced. Its a great place to go for lunch because you can get in and out pretty fast. In Colorado Springs this is my favorite place for Chinese. I recommend the Hot and Sour soup to start and either the lemon chicken or sesame chicken. Also the kung pow is good too.

Ambiance: Better than average decor. Combination of booths and tables. 80s pop music playing in background. Service: Good and quick, what I would expect (nothing more, nothing less) Food: This is your typical American version of Chinese that you have seen a million times before. There is nothing in the Restaurant that stands out. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken, and they were pretty skimpy on the chicken. I left about 3/4 of my plate, which was nothing more than tons of diced peppers and water chestnuts. I have ordered take out from this place a few times, more so out of convenience than searching for really good Chinese food. This is not destination Chinese food, but something merely to fill you up in a hurry. When I am there the dining room is usually mostly empty, with a fair amount of take out orders for the neighboring locals. If you like an Americanized version of Chinese food that is very lightly spiced and not too adventurous, you may find this place OK. I definitely have had much better.

This has been my go-to place for Chinese food on the West side of town for almost 15 years. I ate there yesterday for the first time in a few years, and it's still just as good. It's very popular at lunch. It's a little pricey-- $7.50 for lunch and $10 for dinner, but it comes with soup and tea, and the portions are large enough to take half home, even at lunch.

Great place for Chinese food. Had the walnut shrimp and was amazing. Had the egg rolls and jasmine tea and was also very good. Would recommend to anyone in the area. Owned by real Chinese.

This is our neighborhood Chinese place... Our go-to for take out when the day is just to long and there is no time to cook. Reasonable prices, friendly service, fast delivery. The food is not "excellent" but very good, tasty and always reliable, and yes... The Best Hot & Sour soup!

Hi all. I don't really do much reviews, but I have moved to Colorado for over 4 months and I have been looking for something that can remind me of my home in Sacramento. This place took the cake. I arrived to the place around lunch time. The prices for lunch are very reasonable and the portions are huge. I ordered a broccoli beef plate and for the first time ever, the combo comes with fried crab Rangoon and egg rolls! Usually you have to choose! The beef was nice and soft and well seasoned. The beef had the right amount of sauce and it just soaked all my fried rice, creating an excellent taste. The daily soup that I received was the hot and sour soup, it was good and very sour. Perfect! Reminded me of my father's. The service was extremely fast. My waitress was quick to seat me as well as take my order and constantly refilling my water. However, I do notice that they only have one waiter and I'm not sure how they will do when it gets busy. The only problem I had with the place was that there were children there. I believe it was one of the waitresses' kids and they were very loud and annoying, especially the girl. All in all, if you low on cash and want to eat something well worth your money, you should come to this restaurant. I know I will.

I went to the Bamboo Court Chinese restaurant, and ordered Pad Thai, * * *. First, they got the order wrong, trying to serve me Basil Chicken. Apparently the order was lost, because it was a LONG time until they showed up with the Pad Thai - but they had made it with no peppers, so it was ZERO stars. Zero-star Pad Thai is pretty pointless. I'd have made them re-make it except I was out of time. Even the fortune cookie was a disappointment; the message was "Now aren'y you glad you had a great meal?"

I was looking forward to a nice dinner, and was hopeful based on the reviews. The menu tells a lovely tale about gourmet Chinese cuisine, and encourages patrons to ask their knowledgeable severs about any dish you're unfamiliar with. Tai Chen Chicken was new to me. I asked the waiter who said it was Chicken in a spicy brown sauce with mixed vegetables: carrots, broccoli, snow peas, & mushrooms. What I got was chicken with onions, snow peas, carrots, watercress, and baby corn. When I asked for clarification, the waiter very non apologetically demanded, "How am I supposed to know what vegetables are in each dish. Do you know what vegetables are in everything?" You better damn believe if I owned a restaurant with a menu that lauds the knowledge of my waiters I would test their knowledge regularly. I would also train them to ask if they don't know, and NEVER approach the customer with arrogance. First time in 15 years that I got up and walked out on a meal. What's worse, as I'm leaving, expressing my frustration to who I image to be the owner, the waiter walks over and continues to defend his lack of knowledge on the menu. I think I heard an insincere offer to let me order something else from the menu. TERRIBLE customer service, terrible attitude!

This is a favorite lunch spot for my wife and I. We each have our favorite dish, and the staff seem to know those choices already. Fast and friendly service, low prices, big portions and decent atmosphere. I really enjoy the House Kung Pao, and they make it 3x spicy to my order. It's been a repeat lunch rendezvous (nothing against dinner, just we've only made it twice for that purpose), and will continue to be.

I'm sitting in this restaurant as I write this, having just read the negative reviews about the bland food. I ordered General Tso's Chicken, which was specifically criticized. Well, mine was excellent! Spicy chunks of good chicken with none of those weird white bitey parts, excellent fried rice, and fantastic hot and sour soup.

I LOVE Bamboo Court! I have never been disappointed. I always order pick up, so I cannot rate the restaurant atmosphere when dining in, but the food is always right on target. They are very quick, as I usually have my food ready within 10 minutes. Glad that I found this place, as it has become a monthly treat!

So a couple buddy's and I were looking for a place to eat and so we settled on Chinese. We eventually came up with a decision to dine at this restaurant and boy was it one of the best decisions I've made in recent memory. We ordered the honey walnut shrimp and lemon chicken. The food came out pretty fast and the atmosphere was very calm and peaceful. The honey walnut shrimp was a bit sweet but nonetheless, it was very delicious. Next came the lemon chicken, it was crispy and it wasn't too dry. The decoration was above average for a Chinese restaurant and the staff was more than welcoming. All in all, this was one of the best Chinese restaurants I've ever been to in recent memory and would recommend this place anytime we decide to go out for Chinese again.

I really shouldn't be writing this in the middle of dinner with my kids but this is just weird. I've been coming to Bamboo off and on for over 7 years and tonight everything is so different. The food tastes so different. In the past it has been robust with flavor! Tonight, the lo mein sauce tastes like it might have some sort of vinegar in it and the noodles are quite dense and thick. The General Tso's chicken is an orange-brown color and has NO flavor whatsoever - absolutely NO spice to it. The kids are even saying the egg rolls taste different. Actually, "weird" was the precise term they used. Boring, boring, boring! The positives tonight are the very sweet waitress and the Malbec I'm drinking. Meh. Disappoint. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure I won't be back.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
